"Fake" stereo is where the bass is in one channel and the highs are in the other channel. I know what stereo mix is on a record or CD player - it's the sound coming through equally in both channels. I never really realized my computer wasn't playing some things in stereo mix, since I have two speakers. Does anyone know if there are any alternate solutions? Some advice would be nice. I still haven't gotten it fixed, as I don't have the money to take it to Best Buy. Just make sure you have some headphones, and you'll be all set.įunny, this article reminds me of when the audio jack on my laptop broke, last week. Plug it into the side of your laptop, and you're good to go. On Overstock, I bought a 3D sound card, which works like a flash drive. Last month, my audio jack was acting very funny, and I couldn't listen to music. In fact, I had an issue similar to yours. It's amazing what you can buy online when you look hard enough.įebruary 16, - Have you ever been to a website called Overstock? It's a great site where all kinds of hardware and materials are sold.
I'll be sure to check out the website as soon as possible. Sad day.February 17, - Wow, really? Thanks for the advice.

I just would not take anything less from the perfection of hardware and software on a headset from 5+ years ago.
Im so disappointed I’ll have to look towards Sennheiser. My 633 ear pads are done after 5 years and it’s just time to size down and take advantage of new technology. And anyone that’s never got to compare Dolby surround on a 633/933 vs anything on the new gen headsets, you’re unaware of your disadvantages in fps. That along with not being able to control RGB and see battery life anymore, it’s sad. The steps are unrealistically distant though compared to the sound effects of the gun or my own footsteps.

I reinstalled the old Logitech software for my Pro wireless mouse and racing wheel. If fps are played competitively, this headset has to be returned.Ĭlosest I got was uninstalling Ghub, changing it to 32hz and installing the Dolby app. I can make out footsteps precisely even under my own and let’s say two team mates. The clarity of the Dolby with surround on with the 633’s is un real. Though the footsteps department is a fail every time. I’ve downloaded and played with EQ’s all day and I’ve gotten gun shooting clarity almost there which could live with. Surround sound isn’t usable for anything really but definitely not FPS. Upgraded from my 633’s to the 733’s and it’s not usable for FPS. That aside, though, I still feel the virtual surround demos I hear from, say, the Dolby Sound Unbound app are MUCH better than the sound I get in-game. It was my impression that surround headsets really did have several speakers inside the ear cups so I was surprised to see, that they don't and it's all fake. Fortnite seems worst in this regard - Apex Legends and Counterstrike sounds much better BUT still not it a way, where I'm able to tell the direction of sounds, which is what I bought the G Pro X headset to be able to do in the first place.Įdit: even though I've been working in professional audio since 1996, I got "fooled" by this in headsets. It does seem, how ever, that it also depends on what game I run. Stereo sounds MUCH better in audio quality and when turning on surround in g Hub, it's like 10x bass boost + super low mid/high freq chaos. I've also been battling this issue and no matter what I try (even your suggestions) I don't get surround sound.
Would love to hear if this worked for you. Is to change your sound format on the g pro x headphones to 16bit 32hz This doesn't include the dts headphone x app or disabling surround sound in the g hub software.

I suspect logitech is "aware" of this issue and I hope they patch this in the g hub software soon, to be honest this is down right embarrising. I did seem to get these to work as intended. With what I gathared and with me playing with them trying to get them to work. So I came to reddit and I see other people with this same issue. As soon as I started playing anything on youtube or any gaming they sound horrible like I was in a big giant alluminum can with 100 sub woofers inside. When these arrived I hooked them up right away. So with all the good reviews I saw on youtube about the Logitech G Pro X Headphones.
